Let me guess—you’ve tried the supplements, the meal plans, the Pinterest workouts. You’ve cut carbs, added greens, switched to oat milk, and drank enough water to float. And still… you’re tired. Like, wake-up-already-drained kind of tired.
You power through the day on caffeine and grit. And when someone tells you to “just take better care of yourself,” you want to cry—or scream—because you are trying. You’re doing all the things.
So, can we get real for a minute?
Can we stop chasing surface-level fixes and talk about what’s really going on in your body?
Because Mama, your exhaustion is not random. Your mood swings, brain fog, stubborn weight, cravings, PMS, lack of motivation—it’s not just mom life.
It’s not only stress, or sleep, or hormones, or gut issues, or blood sugar… it’s all of it—and it’s all connected.
The problem? No one’s explaining how.
The health world often makes healing feel complicated. Like you need a 12-step protocol, 14 supplements, and a color-coded spreadsheet just to feel halfway human. But here’s what I believe: healing doesn’t have to be complicated. God didn’t design your body to be a mystery—He designed it to work. And when you understand how it’s all connected, that’s when the breakthroughs begin.
That’s why I’m kicking off a new podcast series called Root Causes—and friend, you’re going to want to stick around.
In this series, we’re pulling back the curtain on the real reasons Christian moms like us feel off, frustrated, and stuck in our health. You’ll finally understand why the diets didn’t work, why the fatigue won’t budge, and why your body just hasn’t responded the way you hoped.

Let’s start with something most of us never think about: your liver. Unless a blood panel flags something, it rarely gets attention. But this unsung hero is working constantly—filtering toxins, metabolizing hormones, balancing your blood sugar, and even supporting weight loss. Here’s the twist though: when your gut isn’t functioning well, your liver picks up the slack. It works overtime cleaning up the mess—and that’s when fatigue starts to kick in.
Now, your gut. It’s so much more than just digestion or bloating. Your gut houses most of your immune system and plays a big role in mood, skin health, mental clarity, and—you guessed it—your hormones. When your gut is inflamed or “leaky,” it sends out stress signals to the brain, triggering widespread inflammation.
And then there’s insulin resistance. Even if you haven’t been diagnosed, you might be feeling the effects—like brain fog, stubborn belly weight, intense cravings, or energy crashes that hit like a wall. The root? Often poor gut health and sluggish liver function, which throws off your blood sugar balance. These systems are deeply connected.
Sleep is another pillar of healing that often gets overlooked. When you’re not sleeping well, your liver can’t detox properly. If you’re past the newborn stage, this is your permission to reclaim sleep as a priority. Because poor sleep doesn’t just make you tired—it spikes hunger and stress hormones, crashes your blood sugar, and throws everything off.
And finally, stress—the silent thief. It’s not just a feeling; it’s a whole-body response. Chronic stress alters your gut bacteria, raises cortisol, disrupts insulin, wrecks your sleep, and bogs down your liver. It’s a vicious cycle—and it leaves you running on empty.

Because mama, it’s time to flip the script. Your hormones are not the enemy. They’re not some wild, unpredictable force you just have to suffer through. God designed your hormones to serve you—to give you strength, intuition, creativity, resilience, and yes, even energy.
The key? They’re cyclical. They shift throughout the month. And when you learn to work with those rhythms instead of fighting against them, everything starts to change. You stop feeling off, emotional, or “crazy”—and you start feeling in sync with how your body was beautifully created.
